Vieques Island in Puerto Rico is a little gorgeous piece of paradise for a wedding. A place with amazing beaches, wild horses, great water sports and beautiful sunsets. What else do you need? Of course, great sea food! Always ask for the catch of the day, and I bet you won’t be disappointed.
Matt and Heather’s intimate destination wedding took place at Villa Playa Martineau, part of the W Hotel. The W Retreat & Spa is Vieques Island luxury hotel. It is the most sought out venue in Vieques for destination weddings. The villa is situated right above its own private beach and has a large infinity pool. It was simply a magnificent place.
I have to mention, that there was a special detail on Matt and Heather’s wedding that I particularly loved. The opted to have their guest, instead of giving them traditional favors, donate to The Sato Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing abused and abandoned dogs from Puerto Rico. As an animal lover, and proud mom of a rescued dog myself, this gesture really touched my heart. So I encourage you that reads this to visit the Sato Project web page and see how you can help.
Matt and Heather’s wedding was fantastic! I simply adore photographing couples that share that much love! Thank you to their families and friends for all the attentions. They truly made me feel like part of the crowd.
