Let’s start saying that Hacienda Siesta Alegre is and has been for the longest one of my favorite venues in Puerto Rico. If you wonder why or feel skeptical I openly say this, let the wedding pictures do the talking! 
Who is this wedding venue for…
The Hacienda is for those laid back couples that truly love the outdoors and nature over being inside in the comfort of A/C. Siesta Alegre is whimsical, full of character and the best place for spontaneity. You have to be adaptable to get married at this beautiful outdoors venue. Being so close to the rainforest it might rain and you would have to opt for a plan B, which to me is as beautiful as well. Plan A is a pergola overlooking the rainforest, while plan B is a semi open area that has never disappointed.
What I love the most…
My favorite feature of weddings at Siesta Alegre is the picture worth it backdrops that the gardens and architecture provide. It’s not a huge venue, but in it’s dimensions they pack so many picture possibilities! The bridge is one of those main features that always serve as a perfect spot for the couple formals.
What to keep in mind…
Keep in mind we are close to the Rainforest, and the probability of rain regardless of the time of the year is always there. So come with a posssitive attitude and if it rains, well be prepared to get a little wet. Some of my most memorable events at the Hacienda have included a little rain. Also, plan ahead of time, those clear umbrellas are a savior when it comes to being able to be out in the rain and get some cool pictures but not getting drenched while at it.
One more thing…
The Hacienda can get very hot, especially during summer time. Make sure to choose a hair do and wedding outfit that accommodates for our tropical weather. After all you want to be comfy to enjoy the Party!
