Old San Juan Engagement Wedding Photography
Old San Juan is a top destination for engagement and wedding photography sessions. Not only the colonial architecture is beautiful, Old San Juan is full of history. Old San Juan’s old word charm translates well to every style of couples. From the more relaxed that are looking for a casual session to those that aim for a more luxurious look. If you opt for a longer engagement or wedding session at Old San Juan, you might even be able to hit a close by beach adding more variety to your photos.
Top spots to photograph at Old San Juan
Old San Juan has around 400 restored building that date back to the 16th-17th century. A photo session there wouldn’t be complete without a quick stop at one of the forts. My favorite is Castillo San Cristobal and you can call to make an appointment and have your photos taken inside the fort. El Morro has some impressive views and it’s surroundings make you feel like you are in Europe.
These are some of my favorite spots for wedding and engagement pictures at Old San Juan:
- Paseo La Princesa
- La Rogativa
- Calle San Sebastían
- Parque de Palomas
- Paseo del Morro
- Callejón de la Puerta de la Bandera
- Calle Mcarthur
There are many miles you can walk at Old San Juan for your photos. It is best to make a plan with your photographer and choose what you prefer from the old city. Do you prefer the colorful streets, cobble stone, ocean view or the forts? Or you can even plan to visit a coffee shop or a restaurant to celebrate you. The possibilities are endless and all that is needed is a positive attitude to explore.
