Continuing with the shout out to Puerto Rico’s best, I want to show case Hotel La Concha Resort. I’ve photographed many couples there and it’s definitely one of my favorite spots in the Condado area. Not only is the hotel beautiful, their staff is top notch.
Location
Hotel La Concha is conveniently located at the heart of the Condado district where everything is walking distance. This area is perfect for enjoying a day at the beach, dine out, shop, paddle board at the lagoon or even biking.
Style
As they put it in their website: “La Concha is a modern luxury resort offering Latino chic hospitality, sophisticated accommodations and ultra modern wedding facilities.”
Capacity
They have various indoor spaces to choose from that range from 70 to 380 guest and outdoor space for up to 690. But, I believe it’s also perfect for elopements. Ceremonies can be held right at the beach, beachfront or even at a rooftop terrace.
Backup Plan
Given this is a tropical Island; you must always have a plan B in case it rains. La Concha Resort has various options and they are all great.
Photo Op
Due to its beach front location you can have your pictures taken right in front of the Atlantic Ocean and strolling at the beach. If having sandy feet is not your cup of tea, you can still have ocean view pictures. The hotel architecture and gardens provide also great backgrounds for your couples and family portraits.
Transportation
La Concha Resort is a short 8 minutes drive from the Luis Muñoz Marin airport. You can Uber or taxi to and from the airport. It is also only 10 minutes away from Old San Juan.
