If I were to pick my favorite venue for weddings in Puerto Rico, Hacienda Siesta Alegre always comes to mind. If you love nature and love a laid-back wedding, this is the spot for you. Check out my top spots for wedding photos at the hacienda. To me is simply a dreamy location!
Bridge

The bridge at Hacienda Siesta Alegre is a must! Over the bridge, under the bridge or by the bridge. This definitely is a wedding favorite and the pictures prove why.
Garden
Just like they say on their web page “the ideal location for your ceremony”. Absolutely right! The Garden overlooks El Yunque Rainforest. The pergola gives it that extra romantic feel. I love going back with the couples after the ceremony or before if they are having a first look, for some extra wedding pics.
The Main House
The main house provides some extra photo ops super close to the courtyard which is where the reception takes place. It is just around the corner and gives the perfect backdrop for first looks, family pictures and couples private pictures.
The Courtyard
The open-air courtyard is where all the main action will take place. Before your guest gather for the reception, it’s a beautiful spot to capture. By accessing the library, located by the courtyard, you also can capture the balconies, which are just too cute to forget.
The Bridal Suite
The bridal suite has proven to me, time after time, to be the perfect backup spot for couples’ pics when it is raining. The rustic architecture and how nature surrounds this part of the Hacienda encompass the beauty of the location.
The Pool Area
The pool area is one of those spots that depending on where you point your camera, you’ll get some interesting backdrops. From the path that leads to the ceremony garden to the lush area by the pool. You can’t go wrong by hitting this spot for couples pictures to groom getting ready. Usually the rooms down this part are reserved for extra guests at the wedding.
Honorable mention: The Fountain
One of the greatest things about Hacienda Siesta Alegre is the proximity of each spot. It barely takes time to move from one point to the other. This translates into more photo variety in less amount of time. It can also mean less time away from your guest and more time having fun!
Depending on how we are doing with the schedule, we might take some pics by the Fountain. This is the furthest spot for taking pictures. I love it because it’s one of the areas that usually is a bit more private. It’s one of my favorites specially for first looks where privacy is key.
