After choosing your wedding venue, the next step is to choose your getting ready location. Not all venues provide a getting ready room, and that’s when you have to choose between a hotel, Airbnb or in some cases getting ready at home. For the offbeat bride many times Airbnb is the way to go. You can rent a whole house and have your wedding squad with you. This was the case of Megan, she chose a cozy house located in the heart of Ponce, just a few minutes from Museo Castillo Serrallés were her wedding was going to be held.

Megan and Ray met in Texas, but decided to say their ido’s in Puerto Rico. They wanted a very laid-back wedding and trusted the recommendation of a friend when picking Castillo Serrallés for their wedding. Good job fried! Serrallés is a Mansion from the 1930 located in Ponce. The mansion overlooks the town all the way to the ocean view of Caja de Muertos. This view made for the perfect backdrop for their ceremony. One of the best features of Castillo Serrallés are the gardens. They are perfectly kept and are an amazing place to capture the couple portraits (one of my favorite parts of the wedding). The wedding was coordinated by Luciris Ortiz from the museum and decorated by Megan’s mom. They wanted an offbeat wedding were the most important thing was to have fun.
